Recap from 2016

Here’s a recap from one of our visually pleasing projects from 2016.

In the past 12 months our local clients at Driver Hire in Gatwick had recently moved to new premises and wanted to redesign the new space to work for them. They specified a bright and fresh workspace and they weren’t afraid of colour. Our design team suggested using a clean white paint finish and then incorporating colour through vibrant coloured furniture, feature lighting and bespoke manifestations which featured a rainbow of colours. The manifestation on the feature wall picked out key words linked to the business such as ‘Respect’ “Logistics’ and ‘Fun’ to ensure that the company’s aims and ethics were central to the space. The colourful manifestations were also used on a number of the glass walls to give the office a sense of cohesion and the vibrancy the company wanted.

We created a purpose built training room, a consultation room and an open plan work hub to fulfil our client’s requirements. We built stud partitioning and installed glass wall to divide the existing space and create a more suitable floor plan. The flooring chosen in the main areas was a neutral grey carpet which is both practical and stylish and, similarly to the white paint on the walls, allows the pops of bold colour to stand out.

Alongside the office refurbishment we also tackled their kitchen area and break out area which is now a bright, modern functional space. In the Kitchen area we removed the existing units and replaced them with new white and grey units from Howdens. These were combined with neutral worktops and a bright red acrylic splash back to create the finished look.

Recap from 2016

Lighting played a key role in the overall design and adds to the ambiance of the office. The lighting changes colour allowing the customer to create different moods as well as delivering the ‘wow factor’. As well as mood lighting we installed a built in AV wall as well which completes the streamlined and up-to-date look of the space. We are pleased with the overall finish and we hope Driver Hire enjoy working in their new offices.
